Chloramine Damage

This is a before and after picture of a Toilet Tank Seal – what it looked like when it was installed and what it looked like when it was replaced due to Chloramine damage.

Chloramine is a disinfectant commonly added to municipal water supplies to disinfect water supplies.

However, chloramine corrodes rubber-plumbing parts such as rubber toilet flappers and gaskets, rubber hoses, and rubber fittings in dishwashers and water heaters. It leaches lead from lead-tin soldered joints in pipes.

With preventative maintenance offered by RMS, problems like chloramine damage will be identified before they become problematic.
