Foundation Wall

Foundation walls provide support for the entire structure of your home or building. It’s designed as a solid wall that attaches to the footing of the home and rises to points where the ground is highest under the building.

RMS can inspect your foundation wall, as well as any concrete walls and floors, for the following:

  • Cracks

  • Spalling

  • Signs of water leakage

  • Bowing

 

Cracks in your foundation can eventually lead to heaving, becoming uneven, or even collapsing. Spalling, on the other hand, results from water entering concrete, brick, or natural stone and causing the surface to peel or flake off. However, this is more than a cosmetic issue - it can lead to severe structural damage.

 

RMS will also take care to inspect for signs of bowing, which is a serious indication of a weakened structure.

When it comes to your home’s foundation, knowing the early warning signs of issues can save you from extremely expensive repairs.

 

House Structure

RMS offers a pre-scheduled service program that allows our technicians to service these items proactively, thereby identifying minor issues before they become major repairs.

  • Quarterly: These services are performed four times per year on a seasonal basis and include a comprehensive list of items requiring attention.

  • Semi-Annual and Summer: This hybrid program offers twice-yearly service of your home’s most important interior items in the spring and fall as well as a summer inspection of your home’s exterior.

  • Semi-Annual: Best suited for townhouses and similar homes, this package includes a twice-yearly service performed at spring/summer and fall/winter intervals.

  • Condo: Our condominium program includes twice-yearly services on a made-to-measure basis performed at spring/summer and fall/winter intervals. This package only includes interior and emergency services.
